What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith

These convictions anchor everything we preach, teach, and practice.

The Scriptures

The sixty-six books of the Bible were divinely given, wholly without error in the original writings — our final authority for faith and life.

One True God

One God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — Creator and sustainer of all things.

Jesus Christ

God’s only begotten Son: virgin born, sinless, crucified as our substitute, bodily risen, ascended, and returning to reign.

The Holy Spirit

He convicts of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, comforts, guides, and empowers believers for service.

Humanity & Sin

Created in God’s image, yet fallen through sin — every person needs personal redemption through Christ alone.

Salvation

By grace alone: sinners who repent and receive Christ by faith are justified through His shed blood.

Christian Living

Believers are sanctified and called to lives set apart from apostasy and worldly practices.

Eternal Security

The redeemed, sealed by the Holy Spirit, are secure in Christ forever.

The Church & Last Things

The Church is a living body of born-again believers, practicing baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, awaiting Christ’s personal return, the resurrection, and final judgment.

Becoming a Christian

The most important question you will ever ask

The gospel — the “good news” — is not about being religious enough. It is about what God has already done for you in Jesus Christ.

If you would like to talk with someone about what this means, our pastors would count it a privilege. Call 231-383-2760, email either pastor above, or simply come on a Sunday.

Explore the Good News
  1. God made you to know Him

You were created in God’s own image, made to know Him. Your life is not an accident.

  2. Sin separates us from God

Through disobedience, every one of us became a sinner — spiritually dead and alienated from God.

  3. Christ died and rose for you

Jesus lived a sinless life, died as our substitute shedding His blood on the Cross, and rose bodily from the grave.

  4. Repent and believe

Salvation is by grace alone. All who repent, believe in Christ, and receive Him by faith are justified — and secure in Him forever.
